Barbara Woo, PMHNP

Barbara Woo, PMHNP, FNP, MSN, RN attended Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, Tennessee where she earned a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Family Practice. She has been practicing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse since August 2001. Barbara began her nursing career in 1995 as a registered nurse. She is a lifelong learner and has continued to enhance her academic achievements. Most recently she obtained her PMHNP degree and board certification and has been seeing child, adult, and geriatric clients. Barbara has earned board certification in psychiatric mental health, family practice, wound care, and hospice and palliative care and brings with her 20 plus years of experience working with pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics in a multitude of health care settings. During Mrs. Woo’s career she has treated and medically managed many clients with both medical and behavioral health concerns. Barbara enjoys the field of nursing as it allows her the opportunity to help and care for many patients and their families. Her professional goals include enhancing the quality of life in her patients by performing complete assessments, developing an individualized plan of care, and providing symptom management by utilizing evidence-based practice treatment regimens. Barbara’s personal life consist of being married with three child and having a family dog. She enjoys spending time with her family as well as the outdoors, exercise, and traveling.
